Poetic Piece
Pseudonym: SouLve’ B.A
We walk this earth blindly,
without direction,
mistaking distractions for destinations,
and wishes for plans.
We dream endlessly,
yet rarely find the determination
to give those dreams a heartbeat.
We expect so much
in so little time,
then grow angry
when the clock moves faster
than our willingness to change.
So we sit in the dark,
lighting candles
and burning thoughts,
trying to narrow our vision
inside a world
far too vast to contain.
We remember the dreams
we once commanded—
only to abandon them
the moment the alarm clock
demanded our attention.
Then we begin calling everyone else
“has-beens,”
because they once understood
our struggle…
Until they decided
to outgrow it.
Forget the struggle.
You’re angry at the world
for refusing to stand still.
You wanted life
to freeze in place,
waiting patiently
until you finally became
the person you promised yourself
you would be.
But life doesn’t wait.
Time doesn’t pause.
Dreams don’t build themselves.
You thought your thoughts
would create the future.
You believed determination
could exist without action.
Then reality arrived.
You wasted time
while everyone you called
a “has-been”
chose to move forward.
You stayed blind.
They adjusted their vision.
You remained still.
They kept walking.
Now you’re angry
because you dropped the very thing
you were supposed to carry.
Now you’re drifting…
Lost.
Depressed.
Searching for reasons
to stay angry.
Searching for people
who celebrate your excuses.
That’s when Molly
and White Girl
pulled up a chair.
They whispered comfort
while quietly stealing
everything that mattered.
They promised escape,
but demanded payment.
Diamonds.
Pearls.
Family.
Trust.
Anything you’d surrender
just to stop feeling
the weight of time.
Until one day…
You realized
the world you were protecting
was no longer your own.
You had become
a prisoner
inside someone else’s.
The diamonds
were never the prize.
The pearls
were never the payment.
The one thing
they truly wanted…
You handed over
without realizing it.
Your Soul.
Now time means nothing.
The clock still moves,
but you don’t.
Your mind grows quiet.
Your purpose disappears.
And suddenly…
You have all the time
in the world—
Because Molly
and White Girl
stopped every clock
inside yours.
